Thrifty Threads Clothing Drive
United Parish in Brookline, through its thrift store Thrifty Threads, is hosting a clothing drive for three of our partner groups: Catie's Closet (serving teens), Solutions at Work (children), and Room to Grow (birth through toddler years). There is a very real and urgent need for clothing. Through this COVID time of closure, we are still trying to assist these organizations.
Please consider donating what you no longer use or need. We ask that items are clean and wearable. Catie's Closet also welcomes hygiene/toiletry products (unopened and not past its expiration date). Examples include toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, soap, body wash, etc.
We are collecting donations on Saturday, August 15 from 1pm-3pm and again on Wednesday, August 19 from 5pm-7pm. We will be on the church lawn on Marion Street across from the Mobil Station. The collection will be contact-free. Please wear masks.
If possible, if you would sort clothing by size, it would be a huge help in allowing us to deliver the items to the target age groups. For example, age 2 years to 5 years or by size such as 2T to 5T and so on.
The church office can also take donations at the Marion Street door at other times. Call 617-277-6860.
