The GBIO Housing Justice Campaign is launching! The Campaign supports safe and decent public housing and other actions to make housing more affordable in Massachusetts. Please help United Parish show its support and come to a rally on Thursday, March 16 at 10am on the steps of the State House.

1. Safe and Dignified State Public Housing

➔     Getting public housing in Massachusetts the funding it needs to preserve buildings and provide tenants the services they need.

1.    More Funding for Affordable Housing and Homeownership

➔     Passing statewide enabling legislation for a local option to collect real estate transfer fees to increase funding for affordable housing.

1. Access to Quality Housing for Returning Citizens

➔     Getting priorities for returning citizens in the state’s affordable housing programs.

➔    Providing guaranteed state IDs upon release.

1. Increasing Housing Supply

➔     Ensuring local approval of revised zoning under the MBTA Communities Act to increase housing supply near transit.
