Archives: December 2020

The Kraft Family Blood Donor Center is running a blood drive on Sunday, December 13 from 8am-2:30pm at 62 Green Street, Brookline aboard the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute/Brigham and Women’s Hospital Blood Mobile.

Check out Thrifty Threads’ Facebook and Instagram pages for tons of gently-used (or some new with tags) holiday gift ideas.

We are pleased to welcome Jason Yu as our new Multimedia Editor, helping us prepare our online worship and increase our social media presence. Jason currently works as Senior Social and Digital Media Producer at Boston University Metropolitan College.

Dear Volunteers and Congregation:

The Hearts and Hands Ministry Team will be collecting food for the Brookline Food Pantry on Saturday, December 5 and Saturday, December 12 from 10am to 2pm at the Chapel ramp door.

We received donations of nearly a thousand books for two worthy organizations from our fall book drive organized by the Stretching into Justice team and the Thrifty Threads volunteers.

Thrifty Threads will be collecting new socks and new or slightly used scarves, mittens, hats and gloves to go to local shelters and similar organizations. We welcome donations for both kids and adults. Please drop off donations at the church. Call or email ahead to schedule a drop-off time.

Former Seminarian Lindsey (2016-17) will be ordained to Christian ministry by the Addison Association of the Vermont Conference of the United Church of Christ.

Growing Grandparents will meet on Wednesday, December 16 at 10am via Zoom for conversation and 2021 brainstorming. This is a place for active grandparents and other peers to share ideas and experiences during this special time of life. ALL interested persons are welcome.

Join Seminarian Katharine Henry for a weekly discussion of Honest Advent: Awakening to the Wonder of God-with-Us Then, Here, and Now by Scott Erickson on Sundays at 12:45pm on Zoom. Contact Meagan M.
