This July, you are invited to engage with a book and/or video resources based on civil rights activist Valarie Kaur’s book See No Stranger: A Memoir and Manifesto of Revolutionary Love.

Thrifty Threads is receiving many requests for clothing support. Most needed is summer toddler and school age kids’ clothes. We have many groups we can share your outgrown clothing with.

There are Kenyan handbags located in Thrifty Threads that are for sale ($20, $30 and $40). All proceeds will go to Dhansa Maweni School to support the tireless work of Celestine and her staff who teach 70+ pre-K students from the poorest parts of Mtwapa, Kenya.

Join Peter Ilgenfritz, Amy Norton and Carolyn Swain for a Community Circle of Lament, a time to make a sacred space of listening, prayer and expression of our many feelings including grief and anger at deeply violent and threatening actions and anticipated events in our world.

Worship will start at 10am from June 19-September 4. While the COVID community level is high, we will continue to worship in the Sanctuary since it has the best ventilation. If/when numbers go down, we will make a plan to relocate downstairs to Willett Hall.

Growing Grandparents is meeting on Wednesday, June 15 at 10am on Zoom for open conversation and dialogue. As Spring turns into Summer, how have things been going for you this year? Stories and perspectives will be shared.

The clear highlight of the annual United Parish Strawberry Festival is the shortcake, but a close second is the rummage sale. Spring is a perfect time for some cleaning and there's no better place to donate than to United Parish! You can drop-off your treasures in the Chapel June 12-17.
