City Strings United Concert

United Parish welcomes City Strings United in concert on Sunday, March 10 at 4pm. City Strings United (CSU), of Roxbury, MA, is a non-profit youth development organization providing free cello lessons to students from urban Boston. Serving youths from 6 to 18 years of age, CSU was founded on the belief that access to high quality ensemble-based music programs in underserved communities fosters the social, emotional, and educational development of its students. CSU teaches the whole child emphasizing respect, teamwork, and responsibility as well as the joy of making music together! The CSU cello ensemble consists of eighteen youths and four Berklee School of Music student teaching assistants led by Bithyah Israel, Founder and Rhea Gibson, Assistant Director.

As a special treat, they have invited the United Parish cellists to join their cellists for two of the selections in their concert!

Please save the date for their March 10 concert in the United Parish Sanctuary! We hope you’ll support CSU and our United Parish cellists by attending and inviting others to this special event!
