Interfaith Collaboration with Temple Shir Tikva

United Parish and Temple Shir Tikva will worship together on Friday, March 8th at 6:15 p.m. and Sunday, March 10th at 11:00 a.m. For the past six years, United Parish Minister of Music Susan DeSelms has played for Friday night services at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland, MA. A few years ago, she started working with their adult choir. This year, our adult choirs will for the first time collaborate, singing arrangements from the Christian and Jewish traditions of the Psalms.

To compliment our choral collaboration, we will also host a clergy exchange - hearing from Shir Tikva's Rabbi and Cantor in our morning worship, and hearing from our clergy at their service in Wayland on Friday night. The Friday Shabbat service will be a traditional reform Jewish service, with lots of celebratory congregational singing throughout and the lighting of Shabbat candles, and our Sunday morning service will likewise be a traditional United Parish service - with the addition of a couple of extra anthems sung in Hebrew. We encourage you to consider attending both services.

United Parish is hosting a potluck lunch for Temple Shir Tikva after worship on March 10th.  All are welcome!
