You're Invited to Erev Rosh Hashanah at Temple Shir Tikva

This Erev Rosh Hashanah (the "eve" of Rosh Hashana, if you will) the United Parish Adult Choir has the privilege of joining the Shir Tikva in Wayland Adult Choir to sing i thank you god for most this amazing day - the piece composed by Dan Forrest to the poem by e. e. cummings. We sang it together on Easter of 2022, and it was GLORIOUS! Here's a link to the video of it from Easter: i thank you God Easter 2022

Erev Rosh Hashanah begins at 8pm on Sunday September 25 at Temple Shir Tikva in Wayland (141 Boston Post Road.) and the worship service lasts an hour. We would love for some of you to join us for this special occasion! The High Holidays are FILLED with music, and this service will be even more so because the sermon will be replaced by our joint choir piece.

Rosh Hashanah, the Jewish New Year, is one of Judaism’s holiest days. It commemorates the creation of the world (this is the sun's birthday, see the poem belowand marks the beginning of the Days of Awe, a 10-day period of introspection and repentance that culminates in the Yom Kippur holiday.

It is an incredible honor to be invited into this sacred time with our Jewish brothers and sisters! Seating is limited and has to be reserved in advance for security reasons. If you are interested in attending, please email Susan DeSelms, susan@upbrookline.org
