Thomas Mitchell

Thomas is a third-year M.Div at Harvard Divinity School. He is interested in faith formation in Christian communities, and the intersections of religion and politics, with a particular focus on religious nationalism and Antebellum theology. Thomas grew up in Knoxville, TN and has been a member of Church of the Savior, UCC since the seventh grade. He attended Rhodes College, in Memphis, TN, where he received a BA in Political Science and Educational Studies. He has previously served as a General Synod delegate for the Southeast Conference, and was elected to the General Synod Nominating Committee in July of this year. Thomas is excited to join United Parish this year!
