Confirmation Sunday

This Sunday, we have the joy of celebrating our confirmands and the educational and spiritual journey they have taken.

Over the past year, our confirmation class has been diving into some pretty big questions:

What is your vision for the world? How do you think this aligns with God’s vision for the world?

Who are the saints and elders who inspire you, who you see as coworkers in God’s service, and who serve as spiritual resources for you as you seek to live out your faith?

What are the rituals and traditions that reinforce your core values, that connect you with your saints and elders, and that offer glimpses of God’s vision for the world?

And much, much more…they’ve explored the Bible, they’ve delved into prayer and other spiritual practices, and they’ve discussed what heresy is (and isn’t!)…by the way, did you know Jesus was a heretic? Ask a confirmand about it if you want to know more…

I know I speak for many when I say how much of an honor and a pleasure it is to get to know these youth and to be a part of their faith journey. This Sunday, this particular chapter in their ongoing faith journey culminates with a service of celebration and connection! We will hear our confirmands’ journeys lifted up, affirm them in blessing, and ponder where our own faith journeys are leading us.

Join us Sunday at 11am in the Sanctuary and on YouTube to learn, celebrate, pray, and worship together!

In faith,

Amy
