Thrifty Threads Update

Thrifty Threads sent out some of our final donations for 2024. We estimated sharing approximately 12.8 tons of clothing with our partner charities. In addition we have given musical instruments, and children’s books. We have purchased new diapers, socks and underwear for the groups we serve as well. We’re inviting each person to bring something to lend to the scene: a stuffed animal, a Lego person, a figure from a household nativity set, a clothes-pin doll, a sheep ornament, you-name-it! Filling the UP Windows for Advent

As we all prepare for Christmas, we invite you to help us bring light, life, and joy into our Sanctuary by decorating one of the 33 window wells. Last year, almost two-thirds of our sanctuary window wells were filled with the hopes and prayers of the United Parish congregation and our partnering organizations. This year we are hoping to fill all of the windows! Our theme for Advent 2024 is “Traditions of Christmas.” Do you sing carols? Bake? Do crafts? Put up special decorations? Read a beloved children’s book? If traditions aren’t a big thing for you, you can start… Read More
