20s/30s Upcoming Events

20s/30s has two (that’s right, two!) events in the works.

First, we have a reservation for trivia at Cityside Tavern in Brighton on Wednesday, January 21 at 7:30pm.  Bring your random factual knowledge that isn’t really useful but you’ve been waiting for an excuse to show off!  Please let me know if you’ll be there because if enough people are interested, I will make another reservation.

Second, we will be volunteering at the Prison Book Program (PBP) on Saturday, April 18 from 1-4pm.

PBP’s mission “is to support people in prison by sending them free books and reading materials that meet their specific needs and interests.”  They do this through “a highly engaging volunteer experience that connects people inside and outside of the American prison system.”  Volunteers are encouraged to bring books to donate books to PBP, so we will coordinate bringing book donations with us when we go.  Even if you aren’t able to volunteer, you can still donate!  Be thinking of books you are ready and willing to part with.  We are signed up to bring 10 volunteers, so let me know if you are able to come!  PBP is located in Quincy, so I will send more details to the group closer to the date to coordinate rides.

As always, let me know if you have any questions or ideas for what you want 20s/30s to look like!
