Recently, the United Parish Council approved a proposal from Robert Olsen and Associates (RO+A) to begin exploring potential changes to the building that would improve accessibility, modify the Sanctuary to better meet the needs of the congregation and other users, and improve sound quality as well as accessibility. RO+A comes to us with a great deal of experience in helping congregations make such changes. Indeed, several of our neighboring congregations have worked with the firm.
An essential part of this process is for the United Parish congregation to continue to express how you view our existing Sanctuary and what modifications might be made to improve your worship experience.
On Sunday, December 7 after the service, we will hold a meeting in the Sanctuary to further explore this work. We will begin with a few slides to show you about the history of the structure of the church – something we learned about from RO+A. We will then facilitate an interactive discussion based on a series of questions about how you see the Sanctuary changing to meet all of our and our current and potential building users’ needs.
Grab some coffee and snacks at Coffee Hour and join us at the front of the Sanctuary.
