Join us on Saturday, April 11 at 7pm for United Parish’s final Jazz Sanctuary concert of the season featuring British composer, saxophonist, and a regular singer in our Chancel Choir, Sam Knight. Joined by Lois Majors and Ben Fig on double bass and drums, and members of our Chancel Choir. They will present a collection of original works from Sam’s debut album, Knight Life, as well as his upcoming project, Eden Unfinished that explores the subtle systems of truth, power, fear and desire that shape human behavior from the inside out. Rather than pointing outward at political structures alone, the music asks a more intimate question: how do domination, control, love and liberation play out within each of us? Through lyrical melodies, moments of volatility, and open improvisation, the musicians navigate themes of struggle, surrender and transcendence.
