Would you like to share your concerns about injustices in our country and in your own communities, and to find ways of turning these concerns into collective action to make a difference? Our GBIO (Greater Boston Interfaith Organization) Core Team is inviting you to participate in one of our House Meetings, which will be small groups where we can share our stories and concerns. These are important times of gathering and story-telling where we want to hear about the things that provoking you to action.
Sunday, January 25 from 12:30-2pm in the Parlor. You can register on THIS FORM. Can’t make it? We’ll have repeat sessions on February 22 and March 15.
Come prepared to share a story, rooted in your lived experience, about an issue that is pulling you to act. Have family members or friends afraid of immigration raids? Are you struggling to access healthcare? Is housing insecurity affecting you or someone you love? Is there a problem in your community that you want to help address? — Bring these stories!
Our goal is to deepen our own community and hear the challenges that we are facing with the aim of connecting to paths of action. The notes we take from these sessions will also inform the direction GBIO takes in our next advocacy campaign.
There is so much that we are all dealing with. Join us on the 25th and for additional meetings in February and March, to share the load with your community, build some new connections, and start getting organized towards action.
All of GBIO’s 56 congregations will be hosting their own house meetings, and the common issues raised in these meetings will help inform GBIO’s next campaign starting in the spring of 2026. In the past, these house meetings have launched GBIO into successful campaigns in health care, affordable housing, and opportunities for persons returning from incarceration.
