Small group studies and book discussions are offered periodically throughout the year. Often there is a study series during Advent and Lent; book discussions happen throughout the year. These groups offer the opportunity to get to know others in a small group setting, to dive deeper into our Christian faith, and to exchange ideas.
Advent and Lenten Study Groups follow the themes of worship and expand the week’s scripture and sermon for a deeper dive. Study sessions are offered on Sundays after worship in person, and on a weeknight on Zoom. The curriculum usually includes prayer, scripture, discussion, short readings, and sometimes poetry, song or art. It’s an opportunity to connect with one another during the special seasons of Advent and Lent, and to grow closer to God.
Summer Book Groups focus on a variety of topics from racial justice to spirituality. Discussion sessions are offered multiple times, sometimes over a potluck dinner. We’ll give you plenty of time to read the book, but you’re still welcome even if you didn’t read it! We’ll provide summaries and questions for discussion.
