United Parish will be participating in this year’s edition of Brookline Day in Coolidge Corner, happening on Sunday, September 27 from 11am-3pm. This is a great opportunity to show up in a space where our neighborhood gathers, meet people who may be looking for a new church home, and connect our community to all of the great resources United Parish and our building partners provide. It’s that time of the year when we gather for a weekend of fellowship at Aldersgate Camp in Rhode Island, just under 2 hours from United Parish. Games (both inside and outside), hikes, gatherings for meals, apple picking, antique jaunts, and local fair expeditions are some of the things that happen during this time of fall fellowship. This year, we are offering two types of programs for families with young children in our congregation. Once a month, Pastor Amy will host a Bible Study or spiritual practice gathering just for parents, either in person or on Zoom (childcare will be provided in the nursery if in person). Once a month, we’ll also have a social meet-up for parents and their children. Social outings will include things like a park playdate, or a visit to the Children’s Museum.
