Dear Friends,
Two years ago, the Stretching Team proposed “a yearly meeting of the service and justice initiatives which the church has undertaken.” This year’s meeting will be a luncheon after services on Sunday, October 25 from 12:30 to 2 pm in the Choir Room.
Everyone is invited to this lunch but it is hoped that at least one representative from each group can attend to participate in the discussion. The groups include Thrifty Threads, GBIO, Hearts and Hands, Thanksgiving Dinner, Immigration Interest Group, the Negro Spiritual Royalties Project, the Walk for Hunger, as well as other church initiatives.
The agenda for the meeting will be as follows:
1. Welcome and prayer
2. Reports from each group of their successes, challenges and pressing concerns
3. Discussion of areas of overlap where we can work together
4. Discussion of upcoming concerns and responses.
