Or maybe you were never a camp kid growing up, but you’re looking for an opportunity to get out of the city, get into nature, connect with your faith, and meet some new people?
Mark your calendars for an unforgettable Family & Friends Weekend at Horton Center over Labor Day Weekend! Horton Center is a UCC summer camp in Gorham, NH in the White Mountains. It’s a vibrant, welcoming, intergenerational, accredited church camp run by the New Hampshire Conference of the UCC, located in an idyllic mountain setting.
We’d love to welcome you for a weekend full of laughter, adventure, and making memories together. Think: hiking, swimming, rock climbing, caving, archery, arts and crafts like tie dye and friendship bracelets, sleeping out under the stars, campfires and s’mores, silly songs, games, morning worship, evening vespers, singing, praying, and perhaps the occasional moose sighting!
It’s a great way to close out the summer. Arrive on Friday, September 4 or Saturday, September 5 and head home on Monday, September 7. Whether you’re looking for non-stop adventure or a quiet spot on the porch to unwind, there’s something here for everyone. Come alone or with friends/significant others. You can bring a book to read, the craft you’re working on, or your musical instrument you’ve been meaning to play more. Or just bring yourself and connect with nature and God. Activities are offered all day long, and you can participate as much or as little as you’d like.
